In order to obtain a real estate license in North Carolina you must first take a 75 hour broker prelicensing class. Successful completion of that class will allow you to take the North Carolina Real Estate exam. Once you have passed the state exam, North Carolina will issue to you a provisional Brokers License which will allow you to list and sell real estate anywhere in the state.
The provisional status is removed once you have taken 3 additional broker postlicensing courses. These courses have to be completed within 18 months of the date that you are licensed in North Carolina.
The Fonville Morisey Real Estate School offers all of the courses that you will need to obtain a real estate license. We have four convenient locations serving the Triangle:
Raleigh (Brier Creek) School - Coming 2022,
Cary (Preston) School, and our
Clayton (Triangle East) School.
As of April 11, 2021, the NC Real Estate Commission is requiring all Education Providers to administer end-of-class exams for Pre and Post licensing Classes. All examinations are administered virtually. Students must successfully pass the end-of-class exam to be eligible to take for the NC Real Estate Licensing Exam.
